Meet Leonard Mastroni

Leonard and Linda MastroniAs a Kansan and a lifelong Republican, Leonard and his wife Linda and their four children have lived in La Crosse in the 117th District for 40 years. His wife operates Linda’s Daycare Center in La Crosse.

Leonard is a graduate of Ft. Hays University. In 1981 Leonard was elected as a Judge of the District Court for the 24th Judicial District and served in that capacity for 28 years. Leonard served in all six counties in the judicial district including the court at Larned State Hospital. He also served by Kansas Supreme Court order to the larger counties like:  Johnson, Douglas, Shawnee and Sedgwick counties.

Leonard high lights his commission experience with the development of a pay matrix for elected official and county employees to reduce turnover, and the development of the Alexander Wind Farm in Southwest Rush County.

Leonard has been involved with community activities such as the Lion’s Club, Chamber of Commerce, 24th Judicial District Community Corrections Advisory Board and is a member of the First Christian Church in LaCrosse.
